Aerials are a truly iconic part of Swing Dancing – swing legend Frankie Manning’s eyes would light up when talking about air steps.
This workshop is aimed at those new to flying. It will start with some easier and achievable aerials and then we have a plan A and plan B depending on how the class goes. You’ll get tips on good aerials technique and how to spot and practice safely. You can expect a few history nuggets, and some rest/drink breaks along the way.
Arrianne O’Shea is a web developer by day and a talented teacher and dancer, who has performed with Swing Patrol’s award winning dance troupes in the UK and Europe. Arrianne is probably best known for her aerials and has taught many aerials workshops across England and Europe.
Scott Cupit loves teaching aerials in a safe place where the teaching of how to spot and communicate is just as important as the flying.
