IDFB Performance!

The Swing Era Performance Group will be dancing on the ‘Put Your Foot Down’ stage at the International Dance Festival Birmingham this Saturday!

It’ll be our very first performance and we’re super excited. I can’t speak for everyone in the group, but when everyone looks busy in the office I’ve been nipping off to the bathroom at work to practise my Apple Jacks & Swing Outs like a crazy lady.

However, I think it’s safe to say that during class we’ve all been working really hard on our routine for this performance, so don’t miss it!

When & Where?

We’ll be going on somewhere around 5.15pm at The Bullring, Special Street (in front of St Martin’s Church)

In fact if you’re doing your shopping around Birmingham, keep your eyes on our Facebook page & twitter, which we’ll update as soon as we know what time we’re on for certain (yep, that’s showbiz!)

We’ll be among many other performances from professional dance companies in and around Birmingham.  It’s a free, family friendly event that is going on between 12noon – 6pm, but we won’t be on till around 5.15pm.

How do I join The Swing Era Performance Group?

If you’re interested in joining us for our next performance then fantastic!

We’ll be learning a whole new routine after this event, so you can join us without missing anything. We’re a mixed bunch of beginners, improvers & intermediates that just love dancing & want to learn more.

Lessons are held on Mondays at St Anns Parish, 9.15PM ’till 10PM

It’s still a great opportunity to learn some great Lindy routines that you see at all the socials you go to, and learn new moves in a structured, repetitive way.

It’s a known fact that when you have a goal in mind you learn quicker and better, so if you want to improve your Swing Dancing, join us! : )
