LEVEL 1
Thursdays 6.45pm-7.45pm
Dance Workshop / 132 Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8EE

This is the course for you if you have never danced before or if you have done some dancing but have never done a swing dance class. Level 1 Courses are great for people who want to start off their journey into lindy hop with a solid foundation. Lindy hop is a social dance, so you will learn how to lead and follow from the beginning. You will learn all the core basic skills you will need through every level of this dance. Learning these skills will ensure that you can progress to higher levels of dancing with confidence.

BOOK LEVEL 1

LEVEL 2
Thursdays 8pm-9pm
Dance Workshop / 132 Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8EE

This course will work progressively from Level 1, using the skills that you have gained and improving these further. In this level you will learn many more authentic lindy hop moves (including the swing out, tandem, Charleston, and so on). We recommend this course for dancers who have progressed from the Level 1 course, and also dancers who have been dancing for longer and are looking to strengthen their overall technique.

BOOK LEVEL 2

Note: If you are thinking of signing up to a Level 2 Course and you haven’t completed a Level 1 Course at The Swing Era before then please contact your teachers before doing so. We recommend all dancers who want to progress to a next level to come and have a chat with us as well. You might be asked to have a dance with your teacher, and they will really help you to understand what would be the right level for your development.

LEVEL 3
Thursdays 6.45pm-7.45pm
Moseley School Health & Fitness Centre Springfield Road Moseley Birmingham B13 9NY

This is the first Level 3 course that has ever started in Birmingham. In Level 3 we will work progressively from our Level 2 course to really progress your dancing up to a high level. In this level you will learn more advanced authentic lindy hop moves (swing out variations, switches, and so on). We recommend this course for dancers who have progressed from the Level 2 course, and also dancers who have been dancing for longer and are looking to further define their technique and styling.

BOOK LEVEL 3

Note: If you are thinking of signing up to a Level 3 Course and you haven’t completed a Level 2 Course at The Swing Era before then please contact your teachers before doing so. We recommend all dancers who want to progress to a next level to come and have a chat with us as well. LEVEL 4

Thursdays 8pm-9pm
Moseley School Health & Fitness Centre Springfield Road Moseley Birmingham B13 9NY

This is the highest level Lindy Hop course that has ever started here in Birmingham and the highest level that The Swing Era offers. We will expect that you will have completed Level 1, 2 and 3 of our other Lindy hop Levels before entering the Level. Unless stated by one of our skilled teachers please don’t book onto this course or we may ask you to do a lower level first and work your way through. In Level 4 we will work progressively from our Level 3 course to really progress your dancing up to a higher level. In this level you will learn more advanced authentic lindy hop moves (swing out variations, switches, and so on).
